How Feedhood works

Feedhood connects people who cook with neighbours who want to eat. A cook lists their food, a neighbour orders it, and either the cook brings it, the neighbour collects it, or a driver carries it across. Feedhood takes no cut of any of that.

What catches people out

A "feeder" is not only a home cook

Home cooks, restaurants, bakers, farmers and caterers all sell on Feedhood under the same word. The rules differ in one place only: home-based kitchens verify their identity before they can seat guests for dine-in, and commercial premises do not, because they already carry municipal inspections.

Delivery is not free, and it is not ours

When a driver or the cook delivers to you, the delivery fee is theirs. Feedhood keeps none of it. That is why picking up is always cheaper โ€” you are doing the work yourself.

The donation at checkout is genuinely optional

Skipping it changes nothing about your order, your position in a queue, or what the kitchen receives. It is the only money Feedhood makes, which is why we ask, and why we only ask once.
