Choose a driver
For some deliveries you pick the person yourself, rather than the order going out to whoever is nearest. You get a list of drivers near your kitchen with their rating, their history with you, and what they want for this specific trip.

What catches people out
Drivers can set their own rate within a band around the local recommended rate. That is why the numbers differ — it is a real quote for a real distance, not a guess.
Anyone who completes a delivery for you is added to "worked with before" automatically. After a few weeks you are choosing from people you know rather than strangers.
This is the only signal other cooks have when they are picking from the same list. It is worth the ten seconds.
